I have been to the Duke twice now in the past week. I am impressed. Plain simple meals cooked to perfection. Try the cornbread. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Can't deny there must have been a bad time as I'm having trouble convincing people it was great but they also admit they haven't been there for a while. Perhaps its time to give them another try.

Dried out Pork Belly $27.... Chicken Breast so hard that you cant cut it with half frozen prawns and garlic sauce $15... Raw chips with gravy $6...
The staff were very pleasant and the new design in the restaurant lovely but the chefs in the kitchen has let the pub down. We are a family of 6 and dont mind spending good money for good food - unfortunately we were very dissapointed in our visit.

went to dinner at the duke awhile ago and was very disappointed in the meal. entree was nice but my main course was horrible. i had the lamb rump and it was over cooked and the bean mix it was served on tasted like it was straight out of a tin and over seasoned with moroccan spice out of a jar.

Experienced the Duke of Wellington Hotel for the first time last night. It was fantastic, with great facilities and service. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere awesome. Great to see a suburban pub kicking butt.
