wrong picture
the picture is of Salamander Shores, which is ten minutes down the rd from salamander bay tavern. the map is also wrong. heads up
Disrespect
I noted that late at night this tavern displays the national flag in a disrespectful manner, while I wholeheartly support the flying of National Flags, it should be done with the respect and procedures as laid down in the protocols for doing so. It is also worth noting that this area has a large military presence for both serving and retired defence force members, when I rang to politely ask the manager if he was aware that the flag should not be flown after he dusk he rudely rung up so I guess I will no longer be usingor recommending his place of business again.
Staying in Nelson bay we
Staying in Nelson bay we went to the salamander bay tavern a few times. The first time the food was cold by the time we got it. We took it back and the chief said that it must have been sitting on our table for ages. We gave it one more shot and my Meal was terrible my steak tasted like it had been cooked before and just reheated I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
