great new chefs!!
I have been coming to toongabbie hotel for years now. my grand daughter and I recently came back for dinner to try it after not eating there for a lil while. Met the great new chef, food was beyond amazing and she was wonderful! Great job on finding someone who can bring back old customers. Keep up the good work. We will keep coming back and tell all our friends.

Last Night We all enjoyed Chicken Supreme,, SlowCooked Pork Belly & Lamb Shanks-all served with choice of Salad/Veges & Chips! just YUMMY!!! Bring back GIO!
I have been eating at Toongabbie Hotel every week for a year. It has just been sold to Woolworths. Suddenly everything changes. The food has gone off slightly. Good size meals, but the steaks and schnizels now get overcooked.
Please bring back Giovanni. He was a colourful character and very caring towards the customers. He enlivened the food.
It was once a pleasure to dine there, now its like any other pub food.
The ribs have always been great, and the steaks were until a month or so ago.
Why does this have to happen? The guys who clean the tables have vanished. The happy people now have long faces. People moan and groan cos the food takes so long to arrive.
If the price of the meals had gone down that would be understandable. But the prices are the same, but the quality and service are not.

It used to be good
Couldn't agree more. Food now takes forever, the tables are sticky and I always seem to have to chase cuttlery. I am getting used to them either forgetting a meal or serving it when everyone else finishes theirs. To top it of a glass of red set me back $ 8.-. Been going there for years, but it looks like time for a change. After all it's still only a Pub.

Fillippo's
Went to Fillippo's last night for a birthday party. The tables were dirty, I had to ask for something to clean them. The chef tried to get the attention of the register person, but she was too busy talking to a friend to even see him. The chef actually cleaned the tables for me. When we ordered, there were no steak knives or serviettes, and when more knives arrived, they were not particularly clean. The order took quite a long time to arrive, there was 8 of us, and I noticed that there were a lot of people that ordered after us that received their order well before us. When the order arrived, they were 1 short and the plate that had the BBQ ribs on it was VERY small and very messy. The tables were not cleared or cleaned after people left them and, like us, many people took the dirty plates to the counter so they could use the tables. The only saving grace was the food which was O.K., but I have to say that the Chicken Parmigiana at the Wentworthville Hotel is still superior and only costs $9.00 for the same meal instead of the $17.00 I paid. As we left, I heard the chef complaining to the register person that he needed pots, and previous to that he had stated that they were short staffed. I understand that he they had some difficulties, but it is not my problem and did not make what should have been a nice night as nice as it could have been. I have to say that the customer service, which is what makes a place memorable, was memorable for the wrong reasons and I really would not be inclined to return if a hurry.

Good Ass Food Dayum!
Well theres a lot to say about the food at Toony AKA Toongabbie Hotel the Menu is nice the foods sensational and the staff are genuinely happy to be there. Since the renovations and the changes in the chef and the new bang zoom kitchen oh my! I actually have to drive past about 10 places to eat to get there and i do it gladly. Cheers Toony great job keep it coming and so will i, i'll drink to that.

Great Place
I was a first time visitor to Toongabbie Hotel recently. Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, the bistro food is delicious, well presented and excellent value. I will visit again in the near future.
