The Bull & Bear is an Adelaide institution that’s been reinvented as a modern pub / restaurant / lounge bar. Situated in a basement, The Lounge has an intimate feel with huge couches & ottomans to laze in whilst sipping your favourite cocktail. Or maybe enjoy a cheese plate or tasting plate with a bottle of wine. The bar area is more open with tall tables, bar stools and a 6 meter upholstered banquette seat that is said to have it’s own gravitational force…
The dining room leans toward the more traditional with butchers paper table cloths, soft lighting and a huge mirror at one end to add the feeling of space underground.
The bar remains original & is a mix of dark stained timber, brass & marble. The back bar is a mix of vertical faux wood panelling with some interesting splashes of colour to invoke the retro classic style. This blends beautifully with the glowing shelving that houses over 150 different types of spirits & liqueurs.
