Just 149 kms from Adelaide, amongst grand brick-red clay ocean side cliffs and picturesque countryside is the very welcoming town of Ardrossan. This region of South Australia is one of the states best grain growing areas and Ardrossan is a major port for the shipping of this golden crop with a large silo complex and wharf. Fishing and boating are major attractions at Ardrossan as is crabbing which makes for a very popular holiday destination.
There are 11 motel units at the rear of the hotel. Each has it’s own ensuite bathroom, air conditioning/heating, TV, refridgerator, tea/coffee making facilities and easy parking.
Ice cold beer really hits the spot after a day on the water, fishing or crabbing and the Ardrossan Hotel has the coldest beer around. Drop in for a chat with the locals, they may even tell you where the fish are biting and the large photo depicting Ardrossan dedicated to one whole wall, will be unlike anything you have seen before and well worth a look.
