The Reservoir Hotel at Thorndon Park opened its doors on the 22ndDecember,1858.
In 1965, Fred & Lorna Hamood purchased the "Reservoir Hotel" and the property and ran it until 1969 when they leased out the business only.
40 years later the Hamood family, in 2009, resumed management of the hotel and renamed it"REZZ".
The focus is now to transform REZZ into a family and community focused venue, in the true traditions of Mediterranean hospitality.
The newly relocated and refurbished bistro is the perfect destination for a get together with family and friends or for an intimate dinner seated in one of the private booths. Currently Friday nights come alive in the bistro with live entertainment.
The bistro Specialises in Modern Mediterranean cuisine, you will find delicious Italian, Lebanese, Spanish, Moroccan dishes to name a few matched by a superb wine list and outstanding service. Not forgetting the much loved Australian classics like Schnitzels and steaks.
REZZ Bar is the local melting pot where friends come together for a wide range of food, drinks and entertainment offering TAB, Lotteries, sky channels and Foxtel facilities.
REZZ also offers four fully refurbished accommodation rooms and function rooms which are suitable for corporate bookings, private parties formal or casual.
REZZ offers great gaming lounge facilities, the newly relocated and refurbished REZZ gaming lounge offers 33 great machines in an inviting and relaxing environment.
Within the next few months, the entertainment offered will be expanded with the opening of the new alfresco Café overlooking the Thorndon park reserve where you can expect long lazy Sunday afternoons with wonderful live background entertainment. The alfresco Café will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner dining, a wood oven pizza bar, coffee bar, juice bar, kids playground and piano lounge.
The REZZ Liquor store is a Cellarbrations outlet, stocked with an extensive range of local and imported beers, wines and spirits. Cellarbrations at REZZ is one of the only liquor stores in Australia featuring the "Enomatic" and "Le Verre de Vin" tasting systems where a wide range of wines and spirits can be sampled 7 days a week.
