Look at how Yallingup has changed since they turned the tavern there into units!

There is nothing left except a coffee van if you're lucky

Ruined and all down to local authority corruption no doubt

Once again a planned development with only thought for the developers back pocket and of absolutely NO benefit for the environment, community or longterm residents of a small coastal Town. The environmental implications astound me! A development perched atop a fragile dune system which will be rapidly degraded by a revolving population of holiday makers carving out their own "direct path from house to beach". I thought coastal development compliance stopped new buildings this close to the high tide line ?

Developers have the eyes on Seabird. They want to knock the pub down and replace with 56 units.

Have a look Seabird Tavern on facebook. If you would like to save the pub please fax a brief letter of opposition to 9577 2193

Publocation supports your efforts to save The Seabird Pub.
Beachfront pubs are becoming a rare public amenity these days, closed and developed for the benefit of a few.
In our experience redevelopment of beachfront hotels sites, replaced with expensive units serves only to privatise the foreshore and public vista.
There are many examples along the Qld and NSW coastlines of this occuring.
Keep up the good fight and let us know if we can be of more assistance.
