About Royal Hotel:

In 1956, the filming of the classic movie “The Shiralee” in and around Binnaway included many scenes centred on the hotel. With an international cast that included Peter Finch and Bud Tingwell, “The Shiralee” certainly provided Binnaway locals with a sense of importance and excitement. There are many photos of the movie displayed inside the hotel and you are welcome to pop into the bar to view them on your way through town.

The hotel has a well stocked bar with four beer varieties on tap and a large variety of spirits and takeaways for your convenience. If you're hungry hot snacks are available anytime or perhaps you’d just like to relax over a game of pool or maybe chat with the many colourful locals that frequent this popular hotel – commonly referred to as “The Top Hotel”.

The “Shiralee Royal Hotel” is a family owned and operated business.

My family and I passed through Binnaway a few weeks back and we found that thehotel was full of atmosphere. the walls were lined with pics of the movie and amuding things . Although the kids couldn't sit in the bar, they have a dining room, an indoor pool table and Jukebox area, and a large beer garden. not to mention a couple of combustion fires to really give the place a warm feel. we had a lovely hot cooked lunch and we were on our way. i really recommend this hotel for anybody. thanks
