POOR SERVICE AND FOOD HANDLING
Have been a customer at Tarampa Hotel for 2 years, but after last night, (30/4/13)
we will be reconsidering. Took 35 minutes after placing our order for us to ask about our meal to be told they had misplaced our order. It took another 20minutes during which we observed kitchen staff handling food with their bare hands (no gloves or utensils in sight)
Food appears pre-cooked and just warmed up, my steak was barely luke warm.
Due to the delay in processing our order very little was left in the buffet section and our selection was limited, most disappointing was the lack of chips and other dishes.
A good venue is slowly being replaced by a disaster, shame shame.
Bring back the good meals, service and hygiene, it is essential in a country pub like this.
Its going down hill
My wife and children have been frequenting the buffet of a Sat night for the past few years , our most recent experience last night was as yet the worst we have had. What appeared where you would normally find a tender roast was something the color of baked ham however upon closer investigation turned out to be silverside, it was extremely tough and without a doubt the worst I have ever had. The rest was pre cooked well in advance, was not marked and was poor to say the least . We has taken extended family and if this had not been the case we would have walked out.The rubberish stuff in the desert bar was equally as bad. I would suggest looking at what is on offer before paying the increased price , would have done better at dare I say Sizzler.
Worst Meal
My Wife and I had visited the pub on the 23rd of February 2013 for dinner turns out it was smorgasbord night seafood for $45 or the other smorgasbord area for $25 It was that disappointing we opted for the meals on the wall chart I had the 300 Gram Steak and asked for potato and pumpkin and got the chewiest and was probably only 100 gram steak I ever had with not what I asked for but half cooked I think it was vege bake and 2 little pieces of over cooked pumpkin all for $22 what a disappointment it was I left 3 quarters of my meal on the plate and the wife ordered a piece of chicken parmigiana and it took them 15 minutes for the girl to come out and say they didn’t have any and then the wife had to go back to the board to re order but they didn’t have most of what they had on the board and then was offered a piece of fish instead of what we had paid for It was a really disappointing evening I paid top dollar for a meal that was rubbish and in the end called into Emily's shop at Lowood and bought a burger that was 100 percent better then what the pub had given me. I would never go back to the pub again and I suppose that explains why the place was so empty the food is rubbish and they should either get another cook in there or close up the food section, For the money I spent I would have been better off travelling into Ipswich and going to Sizzlers where I would have got what I paid for and wouldn’t have left hungry They had no jugs of coke and the Pepsi was like water so had to order cans of coke really poor service bunch of what looks like kids serving with very little help from them.
Agree
Yeah mate it has been going down hill for some time now
