Tingoora - Aboriginal for 'wattle tree' - is located 22 kilometres north of Kingaroy on the Bunya Highway. The social hub of this small but vital community is the local hotel, which was reportedly the first public building in town, established in 1900. Tingoora was originally settled for the rich agricultural land which surrounds it, and soon the bustling railway station was the centre of activities in the town as the lush crops were transported around the district.
The Hotels Restaurant is open 7 days a week, lunch and dinner with weekends regularly completely booked out.

Make a telephone call at 1:18pm Monday 26th September 2022 to inquire about a Christmas party and was spoke to Cindy. Cindy very rudely said the pub is in the process of changing ownership and she was busy cooking lunches and if I could ring back at 3pm. I said I would be busy at 3pm however could I ring again tomorrow at a better time more suitable. The part about could I ring again tomorrow at a better time more suitable was cut off as Cindy sternly made her reply that she was too busy and hung up. No goodbye no nothing.
So it is fair to say we will not he having our Christmas party at Tingoora EVER. Thank you, Cindy, for making it so easy for me to go somewhere else like the Wooroolin Pub who were absolutely fabulous and extremely friendly and even offered suggestions for our function. It's Staff like Cindy that will tarnish a business's name even after the new owners take over. I will be certain to tell everyone of this experience and at the same time promote the Wooroolin Pub. Wooroolin Pub's phone number is 07 4164 2261.
