Grand Re-opening Saturday 27th October 2012
One of the true 'back country pubs' which has stood the test of time, and still remains the 'hub' of the vast Western Lands Division of NSW, between Balranald and Ivanhoe.
The famous bar, with its hugh central open fire place, character filled "shearing board" mural, and many local artefacts displayed around the walls has been home to many a trapper, teamster, drover, shearer, truckie, mailman, traveller and station family and staff over the past 128 years.
Also now the home to many a woodcutter, backpacker and paliantologist (enroute to Mungo NP) all met with a warm smile and cold beer by the accommodating and friendly staff at the pub.
A range of meals are served including special theme nights. These themes can change mid stream due to the availability of specialist ingredients and the alcoholic state of the cook.
We’ve got a caravan park next door to the pub, so you can book any of the following:
8 Shearers quarters (4 x doubles, 4 x twins)
2 units (each with 1 x double and single bunk beds - sleeps 4 total)
4 powered sites
10 unpowered sites
Dirt and grass for tents and swags
Dogs are welcome too. We just ask you keep them quite. Real quite, thanks.
