Hotel Fire at Wingham

Fire rescue officers from Wingham and Taree responded to a fire at Wingham Hotel in Isabella St early on Monday morning. When they arrived, they discovered that the hotel was already totally involved in fire and called for assistance. Crews from Gloucester, Foster, Laurieton, Port Macquarie, the local RFS as well as a ladder truck from Newcastle all attended, making a total of fifty five firefighters in attendance. They performed admirably to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the adjacent petrol station.
