In the Hotel foyer and main bar, we have tried to capture the spirit of those halcyon days when Bourke was a busy port, woolgrowers were prosperous and the labor movement was stirring in Bourke.
In the Cocktail Bar we divert to the contemporary, reminding ourselves that Bourke has modern, colourful rural industries operated by real people.
In the Toorale Dining Room we re-enter the world of Toorale and Henry Lawson in the late 1800's.
The Hotel began its life as "The Royal" in 1863. It was then renamed the "Old Royal Hotel" and took on a heritage flavour, and it had a major facelift in 1993 before its renaming and re-energising as "The Port of Bourke Hotel" in July 1997.
