We are close to Broadwater National Park, the Dalrymple Gap Walking Track and the Wet Tropics Great Walks. Day trippers and campers at Broadwater National Park can enjoy a scenic drive around the Herbert River loop road or take a cool dip at Broadwater Creek. Our counter meals make our hotel a great place to visit. Ice, milk, takeaways and drinks are available and for those doing the Wet Tropics Great Walks the Ashton is close to the Henrietta gate pick up point. We welcome those that would like to refresh with a hot shower and a cold beer. Why not call in for lunch or an evening meal. What a great country pub.
Mine host Cathy allows free camping for 72 hours, provided you buy a meal or a few drinks. Toilets open 24/7, showers on donation during business hours. She also sells milk and ice. The beer is cold and the food is great. (her pizzas are awesome). Overall a great place to stay.
