The Pinnacle Hotel is currently run by Andrew and Karen Guthrie. The Hotel has been made famous over the years by the Famous Pinnacle Pie. The Pinnacle Pie originated in the mid 90's when the construction of the Teemburra Dam was being done, Teemburra Dam is located 9klms south of the Hotel.
The Pinnacle Pies were a creation of Fred and Wendy (the then Publicans) for the construction workers that were staying at the Hotel. The workers were looking for lunch while on the job and Wendy created the pies. During this stage they were known as 'Wendy's Pies'. The pub has changed hands a few times since then and the pies became the 'Pinnacle Pies', and have launched as a success ever since. The Pies were voted into Queenslands Top 150 Must Do's during RACQ's Top 150 campaign.
Another menu item the pub is famous for is it's large Crumbed Steaks, these are the size of a dinner plate, and quite often require a doggy bag and tomorrow's lunch to finish them off.
The Hotel is frequented by locals and tourists alike that come to the Hotel to enjoy a meal and a cold drink or two on the decks. The Hotel also sees alot of the car/bike clubs and sporting clubs coming out for their social gatherings.

SMiLE, a Pop Symphony in 3 suites
Entirely beautiful, enchanting, genius. Artful Pop from a band on the right path, it is the greatest shame that the Beach Boys would not continue this path.
