The original hotel was built in the first half of the last century, when the 6 o’clock swirl was in full swing! Very grand in its time, with an Art Deco feel, it consisted of accommodation, a Ladies Lounge, a bar and a dining room. Over the years the hotel has seen many changes, not least the end of the 6 o’clock shutdown.
