Menu change, horrible place to eat.
The Kingston Hotel used to be good. It has recently (mid 2013) changed it's entire menu, and probably most of their staff. Whilst it used to be an acceptable pub, with fairly cheap food, and good quality pub food, it is now extremely overpriced with even less service, if that was even possible. Entrees are $16+, and mains $24+. Those kinds of prices are what you expect in quality restaurants, which this place is NOT. Self-service for all drinks and food, extremely drab atmosphere, and then the real kicker is the horrible food. The night we dined it took almost 2 hours to bring food to our table, most of which was cold, and none of which was tasty or well prepared.
Do yourself a favour... don't ever go here for food.
