The aptly named Junction Hotel, located at the intersection of High Street and Plenty Road, is arguably the most popular gaming and dining venue in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Having recently undergone significant internal renovations, the hotel features approximately 46 gaming machines, a sports bar with TAB facilities, and a restaurant seating up to 100 guests.

Not bad for a suburban pub, but not fantastic either
This aptly named hotel sits at the junction of Plenty Road and High Street and is a triangular shaped pub. At the nose of the triangle is a beer garden (though there are no plants in it) which adjoins the sports bar. Out the back there is a pokies room and a small restaurant. I don't come here all that often, namely because there isn't really any drinks specials, however I do remember coming here one Saturday night to watch to football, back in the early days when I first moved to Melbourne, and was somewhat disappointed when Carlton ended up losing to the Gold Coast (though considering the position Carlton is in now, back then that was nothing). It is okay for a suburban pub, but nothing fantastic (though I should try to go to that beer garden out the front more often than the small, cramped one next to the pokies room).
