The central feature of Patonga Hotel is the nautically themed Sandbar. The beautifully rounded bar top, constructed from Mahogany and Jarrah, was removed from the America’s Cup Bar at the Sydney Hilton Hotel in 2000. The America’s Cup Bell sits on the wall behind the bar and is rung every night for last drinks. Many of the furnishings and fittings, including some beautiful deep etched glass doors portraying scenes from J Class yacht racing, are also from that famous bar where many people watched Australia win the Cup in 1983.
Directly above the Hotel are two beautifully appointed apartments overlooking the River. These apartments are available for short term stays. Both are fully furnished with complete kitchens; one has a spa bath, and Foxtel is connected to both.
