Hotel History
Ballimore Inn was formerly known as
bullet
The "Carriers Rest" in 1882,
bullet
"Fitzell's Gully Hotel" in1886
bullet
"The Royal Hotel" in 1919.
During Cobb & Co. days of the Royal Mail Coach, Ballimore Inn was a rest stop for the Cobb & Co. coaches which were en route to Leadville and Coolah.
Legend has it that Ballimore Inn was not supposed to have been built in its current location, rather at Elong Elong. But due to floods when the building materials were being transported, they got bogged at the Inn's current location and that's where they built her!
She is built in traditional federation style with the old iron roof, French doors and fireplaces throughout

This is one of the best
This is one of the best true-blue country pubs you will find. Hosts - Blue & Jen Pippin run a very tidy pub and cater for everyone. Pool table, air hockey, arcade games for the bigger children, and a big tub of toys for the smaller ones and an area within the pub where they can play without being too close to the bar. They have built a fantastic outside area beside the pub with loads of memorabilia to look at and read through. The meals are great and will be served wherever you would like to eat. Hot tip - order one of their home made pizzas!!! Can't recommend this pub enough for service, cleanliness, atmosphere, beer and the company is great too!
