About Culcairn Hotel:

From 1862 until 1865, the Culcairn area was the stamping ground of notorious bushranger Dan "Mad Dog" Morgan, who struck fear into those he encountered.

The historic Culcairn Hotel is situated on the Olympic highway between Albury and Wagga. We have a beautiful dining room with stunning leadlight windows, great food and service. At this moment we are putting in a new bar to suit the hotel – now!

The Hotel was built in 1891 as a single story building that had 40 rooms and occupied 21 acres of land. In 1910 the owner Mr Scholz made extensive additions to the hotel. A second story was added, in all there were 113 rooms, it was the main railway stop between Melbourne and Sydney. A very grand building with lots of history.
