About Uranquinty Hotel:

The Uranquinty Hotel is located in the small town of Uranquinty, approximately 15 kilometers south of Wagga Wagga, in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The town, often referred to as "Quinty," has a population of around 909 people. The Uranquinty Hotel is known as the social hub of the village and is considered the "friendly village" with all the amenities of a major city just 15 kilometers away. The hotel offers country-style accommodation and has been freshly refurbished inside and out. It is also the venue for the popular annual Uranquinty Folk Festival, which has been held annually on the October long weekend for over 50 years. The hotel has an average rating of 4.2 out of 82 reviews, with mixed feedback, but it is known for its great customer service and above-average food for a pub.

Disappointing to say the least !

After seeing the publicity that the Quinty Pub had new owners, a group of us decided to show our support & visit. Live entertainment for the arvo of 10.2.24 ( Leith Ryan ) was great.
Beers were cold but Bar Service was slow.
Upon entering the Bistro area around 7.15pm to order our meals, we find only 6 items available on the Menu ( 3 of which were steak ) That was OK too as they are only just finding their feet !!
What was not OK, was the fact that they announced shortly afterwards, that the Kitchen had run out of chips....then no more vegetables....and then, wait for it, no more wedges, all well before 7.45pm.
What Bistro runs out of chips & wedges ??? Its not as if they had prepared hundreds of meals.
To make things even more frustrating, they had misplaced my order, so by 9pm, I still had no meal.
You don't even have to wait 90 minutes to get your meal at a Top Quality Restaurant, yet alone a little country pub. The Kitchen closed at 8pm ( on a Saturday night !!! ) several guys came to order meals at 8.10pm only to be told "Kitchens closed" & sent away.
I received my refund, as well as several other patrons asking for theirs. The night / meals were very disappointing to say the least. The best advice I can give you, is to employ some staff (both Bar & Kitchen ) that actually know what they are doing. We definitely won't be back.
You can take my review on the chin or you can choose to ignore it, up to you, but would be a real shame if the Quintys doors had to close again!
