CREDIT CARD FRAUD!!!!
CREDIT CARD FRAUD!!!! I bought a beer at GPO. I paid the $5 with card as quoted. The amount displayed on the EFTPOS machine was also displayed as $5. When I checked my statement I had been charged $5.06. I called GPO to follow up and was then informed about credit card surcharges. The problem is that I was never informed about the surcharge prior to using my card. Every business has a LEGAL OBLIGATION to inform customers about surcharges before charging the surcharge. What's worse about GPO is that they snuck it in after the transaction was made. I don't know how they managed to get so creative with credit card fraud but alas they have. When I threatened to report them for credit card fraud the degenerate staff member chuckled instead of apologizing for stealing from me. This is the last time I go there. Report to OFT and ACCC on its way!
