For the past 100 years, the Hotel Maleny has grown and changed with the Maleny community. The hotel was the community’s meeting place for loggers, bullock drivers and farmers and their families to swap stories, debate local politics, conduct business, or simply share a drink, a meal and take time out from the trials and tribulations that belonged to living the life of a Maleny pioneer. Over the last 100 years, the ownership and management of the Hotel has passed though different hands, changed direction and with time and the merging of generations, the perception of the residents of “their Hotel” has changed.

I wish I had this pub at home!
Short version - I really liked this pub.
Longer version - I wish I lived here! It's sad that it was so quiet while I was there, I think it would be great fun with a few dozen more bodies! The bar staff were stars - very friendly regardless if you are local or a visitor. Drinks prices seemed standard even though they could probably get away with charging more as there aren't many options in Maleny. Main bar is the social hub of the pub - pool table, darts, keno & ubet TAB. There's also a pokie gaming room with a decent selection of machines. Didn't visit the restaurant but I did see a few meals on their way out to tables on the deck overlooking the beer garden - they looked as good as the setting! I'd be happy to spend a weekend here again! :)

Website says Friday lunch til
Website says Friday lunch til 3pm. Drove 15mins to get there at 2.25pm & the kitchen is closed because it's quiet. Very ordinary. At least the Maple Cafe was serving good food & cold beer still!
