About Shamrock Hotel:

Townsville's Oldest Irish Hotel

The Shamrock Hotel has been a fixture on the Townsville social scene since 1889.
Right from the beginning, The Shamrock developed a reputation as a comfortable well-run establishment providing a casual and friendly place to enjoy a cold beer, an excellent feed of pub fare, or holding your next function..

This grand old building has kept her stunning looks and adornments with successive licensees continuing to maintain a good standard of maintenance on the establishment.

As a gracious host, she can be seductive or entertaining depending on the mood of her guests’, all the while carrying her age proudly and gracefully.

Located at 31 Palmer Street in South Townsville with accommodation, dining, Keno, garden bar, lounge and sports bar. The Shamrock Hotel is more than just meets the eye.

With a great range of beers on tap including XXXX bitter, Hahn light, VB, Kilkenny, Guinness, just to name a few, The Shamrock, meets the older, true North Queensland laid-back style tradition, boasting a jukebox, pool table, and huge footy screen.

The best meals in town but on Monday the 18th March the waitress spilled gravy over the back and sleeve of my T shirt without telling me (a lady on the table beside me told me). The white T shirt is stained and all attempts to get the stain out have been unsuccessful. Today the 26 March I ordered and paid for my meal and in waiting slowly consumed 2 schooners of OJ. The people prior to me had not had their meals delivered so I left the Shamrock Hotel and shall never go back.
