Staff
Seriously need to train staff or should I say at least one staff member how to respect her patrons. Her customer service skills are simply not there. I have always been taught not to argue with your patrons/client or customers in a rude manner. Well this particular staff member couldn’t give a crap on how she behaved tonight. Not once did she think about representing the venue. And in front of the other patrons she just kept arguing over crap. All she cared about was believing because she was the staff member and had the right to kick people out for asking her not to stare at them. Good job blonde. We have been there plenty of times before tonight and never have we experienced such pathetic behaviour. Not to mention how disrespectful she was towards us. Can totally understand her kicking anyone out if they were being aggressive or abusive to her. But this was not the case.
More like a casino than a local pub
Right next to the Bendigo Bank Centre it is quite clear which pub the people of Bendigo prefer, and it is certainly not this place. Okay, they appear to have cheap food (though I would hardly call $2.50 for a biscuit cheap). Despite the cheap food, in the end the City Family Hotel is nothing more than a pokies pub. In fact the pokies take up most of the space, though there is a small area where you can sit and drink your beer (or eat $2.50 biscuit). There is an outdoor area, but that consists of basically two tables and some chairs, though it is next to the creek.

Poor service!
DO NOT VISIT HERE! THE RECEPTION BELIEVES THAT SHE IS OF A HIGHER LEVEL THAN PATRONS. RECEPTION LACKS REPECT! I WAS TREATED IN AN INCREDIBLLY POOR MANNER, THAT I WOULD NOT WISH APON MY WORST ENEMY!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!
