Having eaten at the Union once before I returned for another, granted 12months later. Order a dish that was "Crispy Twice Cooked Pork Belly" I was present with the most disgusting meal I have ever seen. A slab of pork belly, not sure what had been done to it, suggest that if was heated in the microwave. Topped with bacon at a rough guess was deep fried. Part of the garnish was I discovered scallops clearly fried on the grill and over down. My understanding is that the roe should also be removed when presenting in this type of meal. But then presentation was no high on the agenda given this monochrome meal. Unpalatable and eatable unless at its best unless grease is your taste.
No I won't be back.
