Lara Hotel
Had a Bar meal over the Aussie long weekend, Staff are pretty indifferent. Very much a pub for locals. The roast was good value for 13.90, but again good service and good food cant go together for $20. Will not go back.
Lara Hotel
Quality of food at this pub has varied a considerably over the years. They seem to have a high turnover of kitchen staff but in recent times (last couple of years to 2011) they seem to have landed some talented young chefs. The food is nothing special but is good wholesome pub food. It has a play room for the kids with a climbing thingy and a few video games - often not working. The play room has a big window making the kids visible from most of the dining tables. The atmosphere is lacking something. It is not rustic or modern - but lost somewhere in between. Children get a free drink with a small meal. Good value for money but not fine dining.
