This is our local, and we love it! Always friendly helpful polite staff. Food is great. Perfect pub to take our grandchild to every now and then, the play centre makes life much easier with a toddler!! Highly recommend.

Service from hell
Although the food here looked like decent pub grub, the service was the worst for a pub I have ever seen. It is obviously an improvisation having to deal with people, otherwise you would not leave meals on tables to go cold without finding out who ordered them or question your clientele over why they want to buy a bag of chips and then begrudgingly bring out one bag and say that's all we have. The staff are obviously inexperienced because, young or old, they were snarly which made the overall mood of the hotel feel awful. Yuk is all I can say!
Service from Hell
As regular customers to the Riddell Pub we could not believe the comment from Rachel. The service and meals have always been fantastic, staff very polite and happy to look after eveyone.
P.S what are you doing in a hotel bistro ordering a packet of chips for lunch? Sounds like this may have been the real issue here, do everyone else a favour and don't come back.
