pub experience
I drink and dine at the bel eyre tavern quite regularly and am very happy with the good service and food at this establishment. As for the child working in the kitchen she is an apprentice chef soon to be qualified and her cooking tastes great. And yes there are no security guards posted at the door but the few times that there have been altercations in the building, the manageress and staff have been able to diffuse the situation without the need of police or security. I recommend this pub for anyone young or old to come down for a quiet drink or to watch your favourite sporting event or to enjoy an inexpensive meal.
Been here a few times,
Been here a few times, indeed they have no security, but I like this. Makes it more 'comfortable'. With that said I haven't seen a need to have security the nights I've been there. Heard of a few fights, but hey, they serve alcohol, it's bound to happen!
I think It's a really nice place. Would really recommend for functions, good food!
I'm a regular there and
I'm a regular there and don't have a problem with the place. It's hard to find a good pub these days with good staff who are not only friendly but efficient as well. Don't degrade a place that you don't know well enough. I don't see camera crews here reporting the out of control drinkers causing fights, reports of people glassing people, there is never a need for the police to be involved, unlike a pub close to here... The HIgh Wycombe. When the High Wycombe first opened there was never security, but they had to get it as their liqour license was threatened!!!!! The Bel Eyre is a great little pub that has the clientele it likes!
