About Munty Pub:

The Muntadgin Hotel or the Munty Pub as it is affectionately known, has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated to recreate the style and atmosphere of a quintessential country pub.

Country Hotels form the social hub of rural communities and we have provided Muntadgin, not to mention the entire wheatbelt with a facility that people should be proud of and no doubt enjoy thoughly.

The hotel was built in 1930 as a state hotel, with the original pressed tin ceilings. One visitor that really enjoyed his stay was Movie Star Heath Ledger. Great food and great hospitality is also a feature of this hotel!

Fun weekend

We are a small Harley group and do monthly overnighters. We had not been to Muntagin previously so we scooted out there via a long route on a cold day. We arrived after dark and received the warmest of welcomes both from the ladies behind the bar and the fire. Muntagin is off the track and few people were in the pub but no matter there was a good range of bottled drinks but no tap beer. Conversation was readily joined with those there as well as with the backpacker barmaids one being from Germany and one from Wales.Very interesting stories. I had one of the best Thai green curries ever and others had whopping burgers. Great value. Later in the evening the dress up box came out and we all got into the spirit. That was the fattest bumble bee i have ever seen plus a Pharoh and more feather boas than at a burlessque show. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds were really comfortable and cosy as the temperature plummeted to about 2 degrees. A cooked breakfast is available for $10. Well worth a ride out there and we are booked for next year.

i had an awful experience here. I won't say much more, other than it's run dreadfully. They obviously do not care about their business
