Definitely stop here....great hosts Renee and Chris Kemp, friendly and welcoming. Amazing food from an exceptional chef try the pork belly roast yum...great coffee, lovely warm inviting fires and cosy surrounds 10/10 I'll be back all the way from N.Z. to do it all over again.
pub access
I would love to eat at your pub but was disappointed as I am in a motorised chair (not a scooter) but could not enter as there is only a small step but still too high too access.
Access to Yarragon pub
Simply gain the attention of ANYONE (staff OR customers) and they would have helped you into the pub - we are a friendly bunch. It's only a couple of inches. If you think Yarragon Hotel is a problem - go to the Trafalgar Footy ground and try to get into the ding room on the first floor for a meal - you have no chance of getting in.
Access
Thanks for your comments Tony - it is true that there is a lip (if not a step) at each entry to the Hotel. It is also true that we do assist people accessing the Hotel when requested. The fact that the hotel was built in 1926 probably has a lot to do with the access being difficult. We do however have quite a lot of people come through with frames and chairs and we do what we can to assist at all times. If you would like to phone us to book and advise that you are in a wheelchair we will do our best to accommodate you.

Yarragon Commercial Hotel
This pub is awesome. The ambience and dining experience is something that seems to be lost with many pubs these days. Thoroughly recommend that you take your partner or family to this bistro so you can eat in a dining room, not a food hall! You don't "take a number and wait". There's table service!
