Love this place for its friendly staff & excellent food.
The takeaway meals are superb, quick & a good price too. Kids serves are available.
There is a social club & bingo nights.
Very busy on Friday & Saturday nights.
Highly recommended.

went to this pub as out of town visitors and felt uncomfortable the whole time. It just seemed like it was a bother that we had come in at all and they would prefer we hadn't

My Grandma and Grandpa owned the Freeling Hotel in the 60's and 70's, and I have very, very fond memories of growing up here. Just to see a photo of the place made me very emotional. So lovely to see. Thank you.

We were here on Saturday the 14th of april, as part of an 18th Birthday celebration, the food was 1st class, the service was outstanding, the staff were friendly and approachable, and all in all was a brilliant night......you can't come from the city to a country pub and expect it to be the same.....was a typical country pub, don't change a thing......Well done Guys !!

Hey don't be so rough. The tourist keep this town going.
Yes I am a local and I too have been ignored on occasions. It is no skin of my nose but I now go to the other pub where you are quickly served and treated as a equal. They are friendly and chatty whether you are a local or a tourist. They are just grateful that you are spending the dollar there. We are the ones that are paying there wages by what we buy at the pubs so yeah you have a right to be treated right.
Yes they are nice people that run the other pub but sometimes you have to have better customer service skills. Otherwise people don't want to come back. I have had some good meals there but I still personally prefer the other pub. You get larger meals and better atmosphere.

At the end of the day we all have a choice and if you get a not so good service, there is nothing wrong with going elsewhere is there?

We went to this pub as visitors on a Friday Night with a booking and they were so rude!!!! The locals looked at you like you were a freak. No one would serve us, you could not get a drink at the bar as all these yobos were hanging around. We are from interstate, we will not be coming back or reccomending to anyone else. I thought country people were friendly???? AS IF!!

If you wernt so stuck up they would proberly be nicer!! Ive been there before and they are all really nice people, so dont go judging anyone you stuck up snobby city slicker that makes everyone from interstate look bad and dont you ever call anyone a yoob specially when your one yourself!
