Return visit to The Star
Well, returned in August 2012 to a much improved hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable and facilities I am happy to report were repaired and clean.
The Star is basic but good value if on a budget. Recommended.
Basic and good value but oh! the bathroom.
We stayed there in March 2012. Going through a renovation it has portential to be a show piece but for now the managers should concentrate on the basics. Our rooms were clean and well maintained but sadly the male bathrooms were very dirty. The shower cubicle's light didn't work for pitch black showers and the bathrooms hadn't seen a cleaner in weeks. Disgusting.
We ate at the RSL close by for shoe leather steaks.
