The Ironclad Hotel was erected as Marble Bar's first hotel in 1892. The building, clad in corrugated iron, retains its original facade today.
Deep in the middle of the Western Australian outback there is an oasis...
Where the beer flows cold, and the food tastes fine. Where a cool, clean room and a hearty breakfast can start your day just right. Where the folks all smile & like I said...the beer flows cold.
We are a family owned & operated hotel in the heart of Marble Bar, Western Australia. Whether you are passing through on business, backpacking or making your way around Australia, the Ironclad must not be missed. Come by & experience some country style hospitality.

I want To Go
Hi. My Great Uncles William Ball and his Wife Lydia Coombs ran this Hotele back in the 1920's The Combes Family ran several WA Hotes including the Windsor in Sth Perth, The Sandringham at Claremont and the Hotel Port Headland. My Great Uncle went to WA in 1897 for the Gold Rush from Kyneton Vic with his 2 brothers they all died in WA. The Combes Family ended up selling all their Hotels and moved back to Henty in NSW. William Ball died at Meekathoura in 1935. I would enjoy having a beer at this beauty.
