Don't bother with dinner TRYANOTHERPUB
Dingy and boring pub. But the meal was something else! My husband and I both ordered crumbled cutlets. After a LONG wait, when they arrived, his cutlets were adequate (or so he said) and had panko crumbs, while mine were dry, overcooked and had ordinary crumbs. My cutlets didn't have any flavour but I guess they were lamb. The restaurant was dominated by a group of schoolgirl netballers with their teachers, and their raucous shrieking didn't add to the charm of the experience. The ladies toilet is totally weird - you go through a door marked 'ladies' into a room with a pool table! (This was actually the high point of the evening!) I even had to ask for cutlery as they only had knives available!!! The only positive thing I can say, is that the bar attendant didn't have much experience of pouring wine, and filled the glass to the very brim.
Great Service & Great Meals for Great Prices
We stopped here to have tea while travelling, and it was the best stop for a meal that we had the whole time travelling. The Salad was fresh, the meat was beautiful, and the atmosphere was so nice and quiet and relaxing. If travel this way again will be stopping here for our meal!
