The Historic Wellshot Hotel is one of the most unique outback pubs, over one hundred years old and well worth looking through, with its woolpress bar, remarkable collection of hats and wealth of local memorabilia.
The Wellshot Hotel found a permanent site in Ilfracombe in 1890 after Paddy Finn followed the railway line to its end. The accommodation wing at the rear of the building was built in 189

Rain in the outback
Spent the afternoon watching the rain and lightning show from this great old Qld pub, started the day in Longreach, went to the stockmans hall of fame and the Qantas centre a lot of history here people in this country wouldn't know about, hard working and true pioneers of this at times harsh land.
Cold beer, great feed and had a crack (and succeeded lol) at throwing money into the ceiling, bloody harder then it looks but you will have to stop here and have a crack yourself, and goes to a good cause Angel Flight.
Overall great Outback pub, highly recommend.
