Dopey rude backpacker barmaids and disgusting room
bar staff not very smart and disrespectful... I arrived and asked to check in, told me to wait by reception... Waited for good ten minutes, I make eye contact she then proceeds to stare at the tab screens... So I get another staff in pokies to remind her... Htf can u forget ! Even had to get my license from their photocopier as she forgot to hand back, that's ok not a big issue... My main issue is they were so f.n noisy coming back with randoms at 3 am slamming doors in the hotel hall ways making the stay in the hotel horrid... No respect for their patrons.. the hotel is shocking cobwebs although shower and toilet rooms, dead cockroaches in my bed when arrived so clearly a dirty set of sheets.......Got a total of 4 hrs sleep , feels like a waste of money

Poor Melbourne Cup
I love the comm & frequent regularly, and would recommend to anyone. However yesterday's Melbourne cup was a different story. Unfortunatley the race was shown on only 1 small TV and the other TV's were not switched to channel 7 (aparently sky is not available to the other TV's). So the race jumped and noone knew as they were watching the other larger TV's (please get these TV's connected as usually we used to watch races in the beer garden). Also there was a 2 for 1 menu which was great. But at 6pm when we had had lunch and wanted a simple plate of chips we were told no we could only order food off the set menu. I thought this was stupid really given we just wanted a snack and chips were served with the meals anyway (so not like you have to make something entirley different).
Dissapointing and hopefully these comments make it back to the new publican for action.
