G'day and welcome to my pub, the Royal Hotel Leyburn. I grew up on a small sheep property just outside of town and I have been connected to the district all of my life. Being lucky enough to play footy for the Brisbane Broncos allowed me to purchase this grand old pub almost 12 years ago now.
If you are looking for real country cooking you have come to the right place. We aim to source the best local produce. We spend a lot of time finding the right steak and taste testing it

Awesome food and staff
My partner and I went for a day ride on our day off with the plan to go to the Royal at Leyburn for lunch. Having gone the scenic route from Brisbane through Kilcoy, Esk, Gatton, Clifton and then to Leyburn... we were well ready for a beer and feed.. and we weren't disappointed with either!! I had a 300g Rib Fillet with salad and chips and peppercorn sauce... and it was a great size feed. Filled a large dinner plate with no probs... my other half had the Shepherds pie... and it defeated her. Definately big feeds and good value too. Very friendly staff and a great example of a wonderfully restored old country pub. Well worth the trip and can't recommend it highly enough!!
