Great historic atmosphere, service and friendly staff at the Western Hotel, Mitchell, Queensland
Our group the Queensland Outback Association all stayed recently at the
Western Hotel/Motel, at 93 Cambridge Street, Mitchell, Queensland for a reunion and annual get-to-gether...
Some of our older members have stayed at the
Western Hotel/Motel, at 93 Cambridge Street, Mitchell, Queensland in the old days, and that all said it was great to see ansd experience at the Western Hotel/Motel, at 93 Cambridge Street, Mitchell, Queensland back to it's old former glory ... some of the old timers in the Queensland Outback Association produced old photos of the historical Western Hotel, know known as Mitchell's Western Hotel/Motel, going back tot he 1930's ... it was such am amazing we spent at Mitchell's Western Hotel/Motel .. we even had a couple of busk rangers come and rob the guests of their XXXX cans and Re Label Bundi Rum... that was a real amazing night .. then as the bush rangers thoughr the crime pays, there was a gang of the young folk from the Queensland Outback Association at the back door ready to bailing the bushrangers up ...so all the booty was retreived back from the bushrangers .. who were locked up in the bar with handcuffs on and made to drink till they dropped ..so when the local cops from the Mitchell Police Station came to arrest the Bush rangers, they had absolutely no problem throwing them into the back of their paddy wagon where they spend the night in the local police lock up to sober up ... we understand that the local cops ended up dropping all the charges against the bush rangers on account it was such a bungled and pathetic att attempt to rob the guests at Mitchell's famous historic Western Hotel/Motel at 93 Cambridge Street, Mitchell, Queensland .. and the local cops, the bush ranger and al the guests at Mitchell's Western Hotel/Motel all ended up the next day for a good old drink ... and laugh ...
