The Court House Hotel in Port Douglas Australia is the oldest and still the best pub in town. Since 1878 the ‘Courty’ has been the meeting place for locals and visitors alike and still today it represents the true soul of Port Douglas.
A classic Far North Queensland pub, this Port Douglas Hotel has a great ‘outdoors meets indoors’ feel. It’s also super friendly and welcoming, a place where young and old, locals and visitors, genuine Aussie characters and families can enjoy cold beers, great bistro meals, live music, Fox Sports, and a even a little flutter on the pokies or the TAB. As far as Port Douglas Restaurants are concerned, the Wharf St. Bistro can cut it with the best of them.
Located opposite Anzac Park on the corner of Macrossan and Wharf Streets, the Court House Hotel sits at the very heart of Port Douglas. The sunset views are tropical heaven, the vibe is warm and the locals will always make you feel at home.

Hot beer
Well I have been told I am not welcome at the Courthouse Hotel Port Douglas , by one of managements puppets , because I dared to complain about their hot overpriced beer on social media , been about eight years since the a/c has worked in the tab bar , lots of promises to fix , now the heat is coming again , still not fixed , beer is still hot , fans blow heat from TV's down onto customers and beer taps , could be the best pub in far north QLD but , hot beer and ignorance let's them down all the time . Well like a lot of locals I didn't go there much before since the change of ownership , and I've certainly been kicked out of better places
