Commonwealth Hotel Orbost, ORBOST, VIC

A group of us stayed overnight here recently and found the rooms to be less than comfortable. While all of us had stayed in country pubs before, these rooms were very basic. Some had power points and some did not. The upstairs accommodation area is very run down and badly needs attention. It appears as if it is being run down without care, which is a shame as all the staff downstairs were very friendly and the bar was very enjoyable. The meals were huge, however they did take a long time to arrive after ordering and appeared that the chef was doing one meal at a time such was the timing we received them. i've given a rating of 3 due to the friendly staff and size of the meals. Unfortunately, we wont be staying here again.
