A JEWEL IN THE CROWN FOR THE SOUTHERN FLEURIEU !
What an amazing find! We left our home for a Saturday afternoon drive and came upon this absolutely charming place set amongst a beautiful backdrop. What was even more charming was the warm reception we received by the owners. We asked to look around and were blown away by the different nooks and crannies, beautiful artwork and sculptures. What a versatile venue! Stayed for devonshire tea, tasted and bought some local wine. Can't wait to come back for a meal!

Loved the ploughmans lunch
Loved the ploughmans lunch just like an English pub but local produce. Great location, friendly staff, beautiful food......................a real little gem.
Nothing like a real Ploughmans Lunch
Sorry guys, The Ploughmans lunch here was nothing like a real ploughmans lunch. Freash bread roll, Real butter, Pickled onions, English cheeses like , Cheddar, Stilton , Branston Pickle. Plus Cider or a good beer. If you never have had one please do not make one!
A modern day take & Australian version
Thanks for your feedback re: our Millers' Lunch, something we believe is a modern day take and Australian version of the Ploughman's Lunch. I am English and have had many ploughman's lunches at various places when I went back on holidays. The wonderful thing about food is that it is open to interpretation and that's what makes our Millers' lunch unique to us.

New Look and Feel Leonards Mill
Thanks for everyone who has visited Leonards Mill since we re-opened in December 2010. Now 5 months old we are getting rave reviews and a lot of repeat business. Some of the reviews include:
great service, local and honest food, very family friendly.
We are creating a venue where family and friends come together to enjoy a sense of place and occasion. Please put us on your weekend destination as we are worth a trip and closer than the Barossa Valley.
Just lovely
I visit this area a lot and think Leonards Mill is a fantastic little find set in beautiful surrounds. Food, staff and venue are great and you will struggle to find a better place to spend a couple of hours with friends. I highly recommend booking one of the tables on the decking.
JUST AMAZING
WOW!! Leonards Mill is the best kept secret in SA. Food was well priced and finally a restaurant that purchase local produce to create delicious dishes.
The new renovation to the bar and dining area are hip and fresh. We found each of staff friendly, professional and full of local knowledge. Could not recomend a better restaurant/bar. 16/01/2011
unsatisfied customer
Had a meal at Leonards Mill with my kids on Sat 15/1/11 we were very disapointed as the menu was diffrent from the one promoted in our accomodation. Actually think it was way out of date not their fault but the food was! Selection esp for kids menu very poor what was served up to my 8yr old could hardly be described as a kids meal!My meal was not much better... the saving grace was my eldest was only one to risk dessert and enjoyed it also the aesthetics are good.Had a meal their a few years ago and it was good don't know what's changed other than the menu...poss the chef??
Being a rural location
Being a rural location everyone helps each other and display listings for all great venues. The new owners were not to know who had or had not menu's displayed from the last 'ever' tennants of Leonards Mill . So just a bit unfair I say! Not to worry word of mouth is stronger than the internet. Proof is in the Puddin! Go and visit and you will be back. Trust me.
Best Place Ever!
Leonard's mill is by far the best pub around. I wouldnt change anything about it. Great service & friendly staff. Plus The food is amazing.
I love its surroundings and atmosphere, as well as the pub itself.

How wonderful to find this gem on the Fleurieu. Fantastic food, wonderful staff & an amazing venue.
rustic charm
We ran a small work conference at Leonards Mill in January 2010. The staff were friendly & helpful to our requirements. The food and menu were excellent. We were made to feel welcome and were looked after very well.
Wonderful atmosphere
I disagree with previous comment, I have only praise for the staff, friendly atmosphere, superb food at reasonable price, would go there again anytime. I particularly like the craft exhibited in the back room.

SERVICE VERY POOR, NOT FRIENDLY. SYDNEY PRICES FOR A RURAL PUB. FOOD IS COLD OR SERVERED WRONG.
