watered down drinks

Please watch out for watered down drinks, brought a spirit on the rocks it was very pale in colour and had nearly no taste to it.$7 for watered down drinks.

Also was there when a barman got into trouble for throwing out an empty vodka bottle.

And if you order Salmon in bistro, make sure the fish is pink, not white.

Bar meals good for $10 but that's the only good thing.

On a weeks R & R in Bargara my son and i ventured into this hapless venue. We waited nearly 10 minutes to be served, some locals who arrived to wait after us were served first, the drongo behnind the bar calling one by his first name. Finally got to us, no appology for our long wait....then the two beers we ordered had run out. Finally we got our beer, nearly $8 a schooner!! This establishment is very run down and tired, i felt like i had gone back in time to the mid 80s. It looked under staffed and felt like it. We didnt try the food but i saw some been delivered and it looked ordinary, which sums up the whole experience. The Golf club round the corner is way more friendly and $5 for any schooner. Avoid the former with all your might!

MY HUSBAND AND I DINED AT THIS PUB ON SUNDAY NIGHT THE 20TH OF JANUARY 2013. WE WAITED A LONG TIME FOR OUR MEALS AND WHEN WE GOT THEM WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED. MY CHICKEN AND CASHEW NUT STIR FRY HAD ABOUT 2 NUTS IN IT AND ABOUT 4 STRIPS OF CHICKEN IN IT AND THEN THE REST WAS OVER COOKED NOODLES... THEN MY HUSBANDS CHICKEN PARMY WAS BURNT AND THE VEGIES WERE BLAND AND OVERCOOKED. SHOULD'VE GONE TO EAGLE BOYS AROUND THE CORNER!

First off we were the first in line so at 6.00 we order 6 pizzas. Costing $130+. One chilli extra hot pizza... No chilli. Taken back was given heaps of cheek for no reason because we wanted a chilli pizza not fucken caspsicum. Next pizza was a special order due to allergies... First up forgotten. ..next only half order was given an hour after meal came... Took a massive arguement with a tart of a kitchen manager wjo has no respect for customer service. "What an i do about it" was thrown at us a couple of times... Well stupid girl there are plenty of options for you in ur work place. Refund. Appologise. Redue order . Just a few suggestions... Half an out later received crappy pizza again missing two toppings still no refund for those when other pizzas that where ordered after ours had those toppings yet u ran out.
Was a crappy nights service recomending a few staff changes because i know i will be spreading the word that if u,like shit meals and shit service come to the bargara tavern..
Pick it up guys ur being paid to do i job of making meals that we pay for... Do it right.

From m the moment we walked in you could tell they were set up for quantity not quality. Cold pizza and raw steak, try Bargara Lakes Tavern half the price twice as good.

Tonight 8th November we went over to Bargara Hotel to dine. Over the years on our journeys from North Qld to the. South we have l
Always visited Bargara Hotel .On our last visit we were disappointed and felt the quality had decreased. Tonight on our overnight stay in Bargara , we as always decided to dine at Bargara Hotel. Outside on the balcony there was a black board listing Today's Specials One option was Roast Pork among other options.
I asked about the Roast Special written on the Board outside and was told that it was only a lunch special despite there being no mention of that on the Blackboard on entry. The young lady on the till called over a kitchen staff member. I asked about the roast and pointed out that on the board outside it was just written as Todays Special with no mention of it being lunch or dinner. His reply was " I can fix that" to which I replied " Oh how will that be " he then said " I will go and write Lunch Only . Needless to say we left and will never return That is false advertising. I am not a person to make a fuss, but in hindsight wish I had stood my ground. If something is written as Today's Special with no mention of Lunch or Dinner it is to be available for that day.
Certainly not good practice and not a good pr attitude

Bad service, cant get a drink or put on keno without waiting over 5 mins. Very dissapointing. Food is over priced and not worth the money.
A very bad experiance the 3 times we have visited.
