The Marabel Hotel supports cruelty to animals by supporting rodeos.
Rodeo events are cruel 'sports' in which thousands of bulls, calves and horses are tormented and abused for human entertainment every year. But animal cruelty has no place as 'entertainment' in a civilised society. In bull riding, a flank strap is pulled tightly around a bull's sensitive organs to make them 'buck' violently in an attempt to throw off the rider. In addition to the stress and discomfort of this experience, bulls can also sustain bruising, pulled tendons, broken bones, and internal bleeding.
