We booked in to have dinner on Friday night before the footy. When we have eaten there previously the food has been excellent!
But.... This time I was not impressed at all. When we got there I ordered breads for the table. Now when you order bruschetta you assume you are going to get just that! We got what was the same as making a tomato and melted cheese on toast with a little bit of balsamic oil dribbled over the top. And for 2 plates of cheese and tomato toast and a plate of garlic bread - $24!!! Main was not enjoyable at all. Fish was very dry and not pleasant to eat.
I dot think I'll be going back there in a hurry.

We had the discomfort of dining here and witnessing one of the most disrespectful chefs I have ever had the unfortunate luck of coming across.

Having been long time diners we were very disappointed when a dispute with pub owners (they did not do a 'runner') saw the previous chef and majority of staff leave.

The new restaurant owners have overseen a lowering of food quality, new waitress staff who are far less than previously employed and a lack of general care for patrons.

Last weekend we also had to endure a cook (I doubt he is a qualified chef) speakk in a totally disrespectful tone, telling staff they were 'milking' the restaurant and they should 'go and live off their parents"

To her credit the waitress did no react but we will be. Convenience is only worth so much and we will be taking our 5 meals a week elsewhere and doing all we can to ensure everyone we know moves venues also.

A past great meal ruined by greed and ego.

We rang the General Roberts and booked in a fortnight ago to have dinner and informed them we would be using a voucher purchased on line through a valid voucher promotions company.

We had another couple with us also using a voucher and were looking forward to a wonderful night. We arrived earlier and had a couple of drinks. When we approached the restaurant waiting area , we were told by a young lady serving there, they would not be honouring our prepaid vouchers. I asked to see the manager another young lady was summoned over and she told me the same story. That the restaurant was under new management and the previous manager had done a runner. If you take over a licence to operate a business you take over it's committments. The flat refusal upset me to no end BEWARE all I know I will not enter this Scam haven ever again will be telling all my friends and hopefully they will tell there friends and so on. Lets fight to remove scammers from Australian businesses. Australia is too good a place to allow scammers to ruin it.

We went to this restaurant on the Friday evening 2 days before Christmas. Food was great, plenty of it, neither of us could eat it all, but had to save room for the dessert. Only drawback was the noise from the bar, but what could you expect on the last weekday before Christmas. Will definitely be going back.

A group of my relatives attended the GR on Sunday. Everyone raved. Food was fantastic and portions were huge! Had a great time - thank you!

We ate at GR in September - I had the scallop entree & viking cutlet main - all were well cooked, very tasty and portions were extremely generous. Hubby put away the lamb rack and refused to share his ilbacci dessert. Service was acceptable and we definitely recommend the food. It was good enough that we just bought GrabOne vouchers for two 3-course meals and wine for 2 people at the GR for $39. Bargain!

I found the young girl that served me on my visit going above and beyond the call of duty.
see took my order
wiped the table
delivered our food
cleared up after us
looked after the bar
and the keno
she seemed to be doing it tough trying to please everyone on her own
AND SHE DID IT WITH A SMILE
