Described as 'an oasis in the dry of the Central West', Aramac has undergone a recent transformation with the launch of the nationally recognised, Harry Redford Cattle Drive Re-enactment.
Henry 'Harry' Redford (better know as Captain Starlight) commenced this daring cattle 'duffing' feat on a property called Bowen Downs. As part of the recognition of this feat, you are able to browse through the Harry Redford Interpretive Centre in the main street of Aramac.
At the Aramac Hotel you will find old fashioned hotel style rooms with shared bathrooms, along with great country hospitality and food.
