About Greenhills Inn:

Built in 1910, this historical building was once a haven for workers, townsfolk and visitors alike, but after years of neglect its doors closed and was left forgotten and unloved. However, it has been loving restored to its former glory by Ashley Matthews and John Perry. And today the Greenhills Inn stands proudly in a field of gold.

Ashley and John invite you to experience the charm and splendour of their 'home' set amongst the Ghost Gums of Greenhills. Whether it be bed and breakfast, a romantic dinner in your own private dining room, family reunion in the main dining room and fully licensed bar, or a night of champagne with friends in the spa pool under the stars.

An outdoor function area is also available for large functions and receptions (weddings, Melbourne Cup luncheon, etc.) Memorabilia surrounds you at Greenhills Inn. The exquisite antique furnishings throughout the entire hotel add to the magic of this majestic old building. Every bedroom has a unique personality. Each room a different colour. Each one a collection of paintings and mementos. Each one a museum.

Located 119 kilometres from Perth and only a stones throw from the township of York, it has all the charm of yesteryear. Greenhills Inn loses you within the tranquillity of the Australian bush.

Stroll through the hallways of this magnificent hotel, admire the antiques and wonder at the stories they hold.

Apryl & Rodney have moved into the Inn and have made amazing progress in bringing the pub up to scratch. The rooms are still great, Apryl & Rodney are great hosts/owners and the ambiance is terrific. They have made a great effort to make the pub a great place to spend time at. You can camp on the block next door for $0 and get a shower for $5 each.
Well done Apryl & Rodney.

My Mum is trying to contact you to organize a surprise stay for my Dads birthday for the two of them. She cannot get an answer when she rings. I cannot get onto the website to book. How can we book?

Fantastic site you have here but I was wanting to know if you knew
of any user discussion forums that cover the same topics discussed here?
I'd really love to be a part of online community where I can get responses from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Bless you!

Great hidden treasure ... Under new management with a wonderful family atmosphere ..... Beer is cold with a local brewery from the Swan Valley on tap .... wonderful fresh home cooked meals and cheap .... up there as one of the best .... I certainly will be making a trip back from Perth ... best of luck to the new owners what you put into it is what you get out of it and you are certainly on the right track ....

I HAVE BEEN VISITING AND WORKING AROUND YORK FOR SOME TIME NOW AND THE BEST MEAL AND COLD EXTINGUISHERS YOU NEED IS AT GREEN HILLS AND I RECKON THE MEALS ARE THAT BIG IT WOULD CHOCK A WHEEL OF ANY TRUCK PASSING BY.

this a great spot
our riding group try to organise overnight stays as often as possible
Pauline and her staff always make you welcome and the food is to die for (I recommend the steak)
highly recomended for any group social outing - close enough to Perth to be convienient isolated enough to get you away from the rat race
10/10

Please check the phone number, as it is listed as the same number as the grass patch tavern, very confusing

I must go back there one day. My family and I lived there in the 50's and 60's and we operated the old Post Office for years. Dad spent a lot of money at the old Sedgemore Inn! Many good memories of the tiny siding.

At 88, my Dad is finding it hard to remember back that far. I remember the Gaults - especially Gerald although he was about 8 or so years older. Also remeber the Mills. I actually worked with Dennis Mills from Greenhills when I worked at Dampier.

Wayne,
We have just bought the old post office and would love to know a bit more about its history. Could even shout you a beer in the pub!
